The Qualified Employee Program consists of a series of training modules specific to your plan/site which will provide plant personnel with the electrical safety techniques necessary to operate and maintain plant electrical systems. This electrical safety compliance taining will assist in maintaining compliance with OSHA standard 29 CFR 1910.269 "Generation, Transmission, and Distribution", 29 CFR 1910 Subpart S - Electrical and other applicable OSHA standards which reference electrical safety.
QEP-04: Job Briefing
Purpose:
This module covers the requirements for job briefing based on who, what, when, where, why and how. The module will also give the participant an understanding of their responsibilities as a participant and/or supervisor during a job briefing, and will allow the participants to practice in a job briefing based on a plant specific scenario.
Objectives:
The employee will be able to:- State the responsibilities of the Supervisor or Person In Charge when conducting job briefs
- State the responsibilities of the employee when participating in job briefs
- Explain the reason for conducting a job briefing
- Explain in detail what a job briefing must cover
- State when job briefs should be done
- State how many job briefs need to be done
- Describe the criteria that determines the extent of a job brief should be
- Describe what an employee does concerning job briefing when working alone
- While given a plant specific scenario, conduct and/or participate in a job brief
